ほんとうに美しいものを創るのが、
美術作家である僕の使命だと思っている
美しいものを見たい、
その願いをかなえるのが僕の使命
美術というのは、
僕にとって生き様そのものであって
本当は、
必ずしもそれが絵という形、
作品という形をしていなくてもよく
生き様で誰かにしっかりと、
ひたむきさのようなものを伝えられるのであるならば、
それこそが大事なのだと思う
だってそのひたむきさ、
生き様の表れこそが美術なんだから
I believe that my mission as an artist is to create truly beautiful things.
My mission is to make the desire to see beautiful things come true.
For me, art is a way of life itself.
In reality, it doesn’t necessarily have to take the form of a painting or a work of art.
If you can convey something like dedication to someone through your way of life, then I think that’s what’s important.
Because that dedication, the expression of the way I live, is what art is.
